Emergency Response Driver

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Response Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for attending emergency call-outs, working on private and public land, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers, including Super Suction Jetting Tankers and Combination Jetting Tankers.
- Attend emergency call-out situations related to sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution.
- Work on private and public land in accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Conduct vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
- Document all jobs accurately.
- Report any defects, accidents, or near misses to the line manager immediately.
- Maintain the driver's log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures.
- Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) remains fit for purpose.
Requirements
- Class 2 driving license and CPC qualification.
- Ability to work within controlled guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Good communication skills to deal with the public effectively.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and receive instructions remotely.
- Prior experience working with liquid waste products in the water utility/environmental services sector is desirable.
- Knowledge of safe working practices in streetworks is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working outdoors and may require long hours, including night shifts and weekends.
Salary:£32,000 per annum.
