Our client is a leading Housing Association with a strong presence in the UK, primarily in London and the South East.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Fire Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on fire safety matters to front-line staff, other health and safety roles, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on fire safety legislation, internal policy, and sector best practice to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Promote a positive fire safety culture by leading by example, delivering exceptional customer service, and identifying and remediating issues proactively.
- Contribute to the development and review of fire safety documentation, including forms and guidance for fire safety management.
- Develop and deliver fire safety training programs to enhance the knowledge and expertise of employees.
- Collaborate with operational teams to maximize fire safety compliance and ensure that procedures are in place to deliver fire safety policy and fire risk management system requirements.
- Investigate fire incidents, identify remedial actions, and implement measures to prevent re-occurrences.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant fire safety policy and best practice updates, ensuring that corporate health and safety documentation is accurate and compliant with current legislation.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent.
- Relevant fire safety experience gained within a multi-site, public-facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in delivering fire safety training.
- Demonstrable CDM advisory experience gained within a construction/housing environment.
