Research Opportunity in Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Experimental and Clinical Sleep Medicine group at the University of Oxford.

The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary programme of research investigating brain networks underlying sleep and circadian rhythm disruption in psychiatric disorder. The role will involve conducting human intervention studies, analysing existing large datasets, and working with mouse models.

Key responsibilities include study set-up, participant recruitment, conducting eligibility and outcome assessments, and supporting data analysis. The post-holder will also have dedicated time to undertake training, develop their skills, and explore career progression opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sleep or circadian scientist with an interest in mental health to develop their skills and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. sleep medicine, neuroscience, psychology)
  • Experience of running neuroimaging studies (fMRI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
