Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Experimental and Clinical Sleep Medicine group within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford.

Research Focus:

Our research program aims to understand the pathophysiology and treatment of sleep disorders, with a focus on brain networks underlying sleep and circadian rhythm disruption in psychiatric disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct human intervention studies and analyze existing large datasets
  • Develop and implement mouse models to study sleep and circadian rhythm disruption
  • Support the set-up and day-to-day running of a large clinical trial testing the effect of sleep treatment on functional brain networks and emotion regulation
  • Recruit and assess participants, and support data analysis

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as sleep or circadian science, with a focus on mental health
  • Experience in running neuroimaging (fMRI) studies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
