We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our in-house repairs team at Watford Community Housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking general carpentry and joinery tasks, including first and second fixes to kitchens, necessary repair works, and glazing to agreed specifications and standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and joinery, with a background in the housing or construction sectors. They will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people, and have an excellent grasp of working as a team to deliver an excellent repairs service.
The role involves maintaining a good working relationship with staff and working closely with our Planning team and team leaders. The successful candidate will need to have kitchen installation experience, be able to conduct staircase repairs, hang internal and external doors, repair/replace sub-floors and floor boarding, measure and install glazed units, and carry out repairs to PVCU windows and doors (including locks).
