About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, working closely with classroom teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCo, observing and recording student progress.
  • Support students in developing essential social and life skills, collaborating with the wider school community to promote a culture of inclusion.
  • Contribute to progress reports and parent-teacher meetings, ensuring that parents are informed and involved in their child's education.

Requirements:

To succeed in this rewarding role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), with relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children who require additional support.
