We are looking for a skilled Network Development Specialist to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our Network Development Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of transport in Lancashire.

Your main responsibilities will include managing a workload of pipeline schemes, carrying out feasibility checks, concept to prelim designs, cost estimates, programmes of work, and identifying project risks. You will work closely with other engineers and transport planners to design and deliver walking, cycling, bus, and road schemes across the county.

The successful candidate will have a passion for highways design and a genuine awareness of the current sustainable/active travel and decarbonisation agenda. You will also have experience of undertaking feasibility and design work for highways schemes and proficient skills in AutoCAD software or equivalent.

The salary for this role is approximately £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Excellent benefits include 26 days annual leave entitlement rising to 32 days after five years' continuous local government service, plus 8 public holidays and 2 extra days' leave at Christmas, as well as the ability to buy up to 20 days additional leave per year.
