Key Responsibilities:
- Support Daily Operations: Assist the Club Manager in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
- Lead Activities: Plan and lead a range of fun, theme-based activities inspired by children's interests, alongside sports and crafts, to foster creativity and physical activity.
- Promote Child Development: Ensure that all activities contribute to children's social, emotional, and physical development in a safe and enjoyable setting.
- Ensure Child Safety: Monitor children at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies, and maintain accurate records when necessary.
- Engage with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on their child's experience at the club and addressing any concerns.
- Team Support: Collaborate with and support other staff members to deliver high-quality care and fun experiences for children.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential)
- Experience in childcare: Previous experience working in a nursery, afterschool club, or similar setting.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities that cater to children's needs and interests.
- Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults, with the ability to engage children and build rapport with parents.
- Leadership: Experience in managing or supporting a team is desirable, as you'll be assisting the manager in overseeing staff and daily operations.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding, EYFS, child protection, and health and safety standards.
