Senior Software Development Engineer

Barclays is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a new digital platform capability. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in transforming and modernizing our digital estate to deliver a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its heart.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop high-quality software solutions using Java, React, and microservices architecture.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Policy Management and Role-Based Access Control.
  3. Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and Azure.
  4. Participate in DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
  5. Contribute to the development of reports and presentations on customer care performance.
  6. Lead and manage risk through assessment and mitigation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience in full-stack development technologies.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
  • Experience with Policy Management and Role-Based Access Control.
  • Cloud computing skills, including AWS and Azure.
  • DevSecOps practices and experience with Infrastructure as a Code tools.
