About the Role

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is seeking an experienced Interim Strategic Estates Manager to join our client, a public sector organisation in East Sussex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an estates strategy, workplace strategy, and assist with decarbonisation and benefits realisation programmes.
  • Deliver estates capital programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Manage the organisation's estate, ensuring it remains safe, sustainable, operational, and fit for purpose on a day-to-day basis.
  • Prepare and present governance documentation for capital project delivery, adhering to the RIBA Plan of Works and internal PMO procedures.

Requirements

  • Available to start at short notice.
  • Willingness to travel to site as required.
  • Relevant education in architecture, surveying, engineering, or construction.
  • Working towards or full membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or RIBA.
  • Proven experience in strategic estates management, preferably with client-side experience in the public sector.
