Job Title: Children's Healthcare Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality one-to-one care for our service user. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our service user, supporting her with her complex care needs, personal care, and clinical care requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to our service user, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist with medication administration and management
  • Support with moving and handling, including transfers and repositioning
  • Engage in activities that promote social interaction and learning, such as arts and crafts, walks in the park, and hydrotherapy
  • Accompany our service user to her educational setting and support with her clinical care needs

Requirements:

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal care skills, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Moving and handling skills, including transfers and repositioning
  • Medication administration and management skills
  • Epilepsy management skills
  • PEG feeding skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Oxygen management skills
  • Oral suctioning skills

Working Hours:

We have part-time day shifts available, with alternate weekend availability required. Our pay rates are competitive, with weekdays at £15.00 per hour, weekends at £15.00 per hour, and bank holidays at £17.50 per hour.
