Job Title: Senior Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Cathedrala Appointments in Plymouth. As an IT professional, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT network, datacentres, servers, and storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

About the Role:

In this role, you will support approximately 600 staff across multiple locations, ensuring business continuity through effective IT solutions. You will work on maintaining, monitoring, and configuring data centres, ensuring optimal performance and high availability. Additionally, you will install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including storage environments.

You will also manage backup and recovery systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with standards. Furthermore, you will support and maintain VMware environments, ensuring performance and resource management.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience in servers, storage, and network management.
  • Proficient in IT infrastructure environments, including server administration and virtualisation (VMware).
  • Strong experience in network management, including security measures and performance monitoring.
  • Proven project experience in IT infrastructure rollouts and support.
