Job Title: Senior Pre-Construction Engineer

Job Summary:

Access Talent Group is seeking a skilled Senior Pre-Construction Engineer to join their growing pre-construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing construction sites and delivering projects to the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction sites to achieve project delivery objectives while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.
  • Deliver multiple ongoing projects to the specified quality, required programme, and maximum commercial performance.
  • Work closely with Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Engineers & Site staff, and be involved in Handover with Estimating Department at project appointment.
  • Consult directly with the HSEQ Team to ensure projects are completed in a safe manner while customer requirements and expectations are maintained or exceeded.
  • Enforce, ensure, and maintain HSE compliance during project delivery, including preparation of the HSE plan in accordance with Business procedures.
  • Impose and implement Quality control within projects to avoid potential defects and ensure commercial performance is maximized.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, controlling and managing site labour & sub-contractors to ensure a safe and quality delivery of the works.
  • Produce and manage project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Waste Management Plans in line with Company Procedures and Management System.
  • Manage project programme under the Conditions of Contract and appoint and manage suppliers and sub-contractors.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must have a CSCS Card.
  • Should have SMSTS or SSSTS or IOSH.
  • Should have good record-keeping skills and be computer literate.
  • Must have a valid UK driver's license.
  • Ability to work with design teams and the Client to create collaborative working relationships to achieve project delivery.
  • Ability to understand and have experience of commercial requirements during each project, including Conditions of Contract, contract specifications, and sound awareness of Health & Safety and the company Management System.
  • Understand and implement Quality control and ensure Quality control on projects is maintained and documented correctly against Business procedures, ensuring site staff and supervisors are aware of Business expectations.
