Senior Pre-Construction Engineer

Access Talent Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pre-Construction Engineer to join their expanding pre-construction team. This role is ideal for a Site Engineer looking to step into a more managerial position or a Site Agent seeking a working office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage construction sites to achieve project delivery objectives, maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.
  • Deliver multiple ongoing projects to specified quality, required programme, and maximum commercial performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Engineers, and Site staff, and participate in Handover with Estimating Department as required.
  • Ensure HSE compliance during project delivery, including preparation of HSE plans in accordance with Business procedures.
  • Implement Quality control within projects to avoid potential defects and ensure commercial performance is maximised.
  • Assume overall responsibility for successful project delivery, controlling and managing site labour & sub-contractors for safe and quality delivery of works.
  • Produce and manage project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Waste Management Plans in line with Company Procedures and Management System.
  • Manage project programme under Conditions of Contract and appoint and manage suppliers and sub-contractors.
Candidate Profile:
  • Must have CSCS Card.
  • Should have SMSTS or SSSTS or IOSH.
  • Should have good record-keeping skills and be computer literate.
  • Must have valid UK driver's license.
  • Ability to work with design teams and Clients to create collaborative working relationships for project delivery.
  • Ability to understand and have experience of commercial requirements during projects, including Conditions of Contract, contract specifications, and sound awareness of Health & Safety and the company Management System.
  • Understand and implement Quality control, ensuring Quality control on projects is maintained and documented correctly against Business procedures, and site staff and supervisors are aware of Business expectations.
