Service Lead Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Service Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the day-to-day operational management of our care home, ensuring that available resources are used effectively to deliver high-quality care services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the day-to-day operational management of the care home, ensuring that all staff receive regular supervision and support.
- Work closely with the Service Development Team to ensure that all service users have a dynamic support plan that meets their individual needs and aspirations.
- Hold responsibility for ensuring that the care home operates in accordance with all statutory requirements, including the National Minimum Standards.
- Ensure that the care home provides a safe and supportive environment for service users, taking into account their practical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Liaise with external agencies as required, and ensure that all contact between staff and those agencies is conducted in a professional manner.
- Work with the Personnel Department to support the recruitment and selection of staff, and assist the Area Manager in the formulation of staffing strategies and policies.
- Participate in the formulation of budgets and monitor expenditure in specific budget headings as required.
- Ensure that proper record and administrative systems are in place within the care home, as required by CareTech Policy and Procedures.
- Be accountable for the management of the care home's petty cash float and any monies or valuables belonging to service users.
- Participate in the Area's on-call management system as required.
- Ensure that the care home operates in accordance with good Health and Safety practice and legal requirements.
- Ensure that maintenance and equipment renewal needs are communicated to the relevant person, obtaining costings and quotes where appropriate, and then ordering items and services once authorized.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and mental health issues.
- The ability to keep calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- The passion to work with vulnerable adults and a commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.
