Project & Development Services

Our Project and Development Services (P&DS) team is a global business of over 6,000 professionals supporting occupier and investor clients to deliver projects ranging from small sub-divisions to new cities. In the UK, PDS comprises four main groups: Building Consultancy (BC), Project Management (PM), Cost Management (CM), and Net Zero Design Consultancy (NZC).

Opportunity

We're currently looking for an Associate to help develop one of our Central London Investor teams. The successful candidate will join a new team based in our Warwick St office, focusing on growing our West End project offering with new and existing clients and developing our existing relationship with Royal London Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business development activities to grow the west end project offering and strengthen our relationship with Royal London Asset Management.
  • Create a strong internal and external profile for the Central London Refurbishment team to support growth and expansion of the right work.
  • Develop own pipeline from new and existing clients.
  • Actively contribute to meeting or exceeding national PDS team target for 2023, including a personal contribution of £250,000+ through self-delivery of Building Consultancy work.
  • Support Robin Swaffield in undertaking the role of BC Client Relationship Manager for RLAM in the London region.
  • Wider business generation and cross-selling - Make every effort to identify and secure new/target business opportunities for all service lines, sectors, and offices within P&DS and through cross-selling to the wider business.
  • As the team grows and junior colleagues join, undertake line manager responsibilities as required, ensuring they are supported to develop their own skills/knowledge and progress their career.

Requirements

  • Ensure that all instructions and client-facing activities are dealt with proactively and professionally to exceed client expectations.
  • Continually develop understanding of JLL, including its key initiatives and the services that it offers.
  • Make every effort to develop internal and external networks.
  • Support the Global Leadership principles of Growth (Driving Change, Thinking Big), Clients (Get it Done, Business First), and People (Help Others, Inspire).
  • Adopt inclusive leadership behaviors to foster an inclusive working environment.
  • Drive greater collaboration across national P&DS teams, including sharing opportunities and resource.
  • Support all elements of the Building a Better Tomorrow agenda both internally and externally with our clients.
  • Embrace and adopt all new technology platforms, including Salesforce, AEM, and iAuditor.
  • Resourcing at the right level - at the start of every new project, consider how you're using your time and resources.
  • Enter all instructions onto Salesforce as soon as possible and review all instructions (including pipeline) at least once per month.
  • Raise invoices within 48 hours of the services being completed rather than left until month end.
  • Ensure that all information to raise invoices and recognize revenue is obtained from the client and provided to data admin support team as soon as possible ahead of month end.
  • Review and agree final billing details with the client in advance of invoicing to avoid the need to credit and re-issue.
  • Ensure that all invoices are issued within two days of being raised and a follow-up call made to the client within no more than five working days to ensure that the invoice has been received and that there are no queries.
  • Provide any additional information required by the client and/or the JLL Credit Control team to ensure payment is received within the agreed payment terms.
