Distribution Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Specialist to join our team at Axalta. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing the performance of Axalta & U-Pol distributors in an assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for local distributors within the defined region.
- Develop and implement an effective sales plan, including target, profitability, and distribution growth, in line with regional goals.
- Coordinate sales plan implementation with the rest of the sales team and other functions.
- Identify opportunities to expand Axalta's & U-Pol's distribution footprint through targeting new distribution, line adds, and stock point additions.
- Manage distribution needs end-to-end by networking with sales, technical, supply chain, product group, and customer service teams.
- Understand current and future business environment and industry trends to prioritize, target, and effectively retain current customers and sell to new ones.
- Communicate the key attributes and advantages of Axalta & U-Pol products and services through designed proposals.
- Pioneer new opportunities and take on challenges to contribute to market success.
- Conduct periodic follow-up meetings with distributors to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a balance between building strong relationships with distributors while keeping Axalta's interests and goals as a top priority.
- Ensure proper usage of Axalta's CRM software.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge/experience of Automotive Refinish industry or aftersales automotive Market.
- Extensive experience selling and retaining, with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals.
- Experience selling to or managing relationships with top-tier customers/distributors preferred.
- Strong business acumen/financial, or at least basic notions of profitability and business case building/result-oriented.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, relationship building, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English, oral and written.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-discipline.
- Versatility to flex into different positions.
- Willingness to travel extensively, open to overnight stays or location changes.
