Early Break is seeking two experienced Counsellors to join our Emotional Health and Wellbeing team. As a Bereavement & Loss Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with emotional health and wellbeing needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide assessment, consultation, and counselling intervention to young people with emotional health and wellbeing needs.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support child and youth wellbeing and offer training and group work as needed.
- Adhere to the BACP ethical framework and key principles.
- Support young people in taking on board safety messages regarding risk-taking behavior and vulnerability.
- Prepare, plan, and deliver education sessions and group work to young people in education settings or the community.
- Ensure seamless access to support for children and young people through partnerships with various agencies.
- Maintain and update knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to young people's lives through reading, eLearning, and training.
- Complete necessary administration and sessional recordings, including maintenance of the Nebula database.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the role and the Service.
- Implement Service Health and Safety Policy and Service Guidelines, including risk assessments.
- Attend relevant internal and external meetings supportive to the role.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and training as required by the role.
