**Bereavement Volunteer**

Are you compassionate and want to make a difference in your local community?

At Age Well East, we support individuals to become happier and healthier. A key element of this is providing support to people who are living with loss.

The role of Bereavement Support Volunteer is to provide one to one support through weekly Telephone, video or Face to Face sessions. We support individuals with a range of needs. Before you are matched to your client, we will talk to you about your passions and skills and where they are best suited. Additionally, we will provide you with any support you require to ensure you are confident and ready to support them.

For this volunteer role, we are looking for an individual who has experience of or training in mental health and wellbeing support; counselling; psychotherapy; psychology; helpline support; social work; education; healthcare or more general support work or have lived through personal circumstances which you feel have given a foundation from which to support others.

Because we work with vulnerable adults, we will carry out DBS and reference checks and provide supportive onboarding training.
