About the Role
As a Highway Development Specialist at Powys County Council, you will be responsible for managing highway related interests on residential and commercial developments. This involves working with external developers, planning authorities, and specialist colleagues from conception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand and apply a range of highway related technical and policy standards in real world environments. They will also possess knowledge of planning and highway related processes, as well as a flexible approach to duties and an ability to balance conflicting priorities and workloads.

This is a key role within the team that acts as the main point of contact on a day to day basis. You will receive and assess planning consultations from local planning authorities, provide feedback to developers, agents, and the LPA to support decisions on planning consents, and coordinate with specialist colleagues to ensure all relevant aspects are considered.

Salary
We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to this, you will benefit from a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
