Business Development Manager

About the Role
DP World Logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our sales process, drive new business development, and grow our sales pipeline. This is a remote, field-based opportunity with a requirement to travel within the EU for team and client meetings.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving new business development by identifying, researching, and qualifying new leads.
- Ensuring sales qualified leads (SQLs) are converting to opportunities and supporting sales pipeline growth.
- Overseeing sales pipeline growth via high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling.
- Identifying client needs through assessing their current fulfillment setup and using discretionary judgment to assess if they are a fit for our business model.
- Making adjustment recommendations to customers, where our processes do not 'fit the box' on their end.
- Scheduling demos with potential customers and Onboarding Managers.
- Achieving daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact and accurately tracking customer interactions in the designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement across sales operations and making recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining process.
- Consistently exceeding monthly and annual quota.
About You
We're looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related industry. You will be a strong negotiator with confidence in closing business deals, possessing a strong understanding of company products and services and knowledge about the ones offered by the competition. You will also have advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion, as well as e-commerce savviness.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' successful experience as Business Development Manager in a related industry.
- Efficiency in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
- Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
- Strong negotiator with confidence in closing business deals.
- Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
- E-commerce savviness, with exceptional knowledge and understanding of e-commerce fulfillment and small and medium-sized market (SME).
