Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Education Welfare Officer to join our Attendance team at Alder Community High School. The successful candidate will provide a professional and effective attendance service across the school, working in accordance with our agreed policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality attendance service to students and staff
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to improve attendance and reduce absences
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and carers to promote good attendance and behavior
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance strategies and initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of attendance policies and procedures
