Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tameside Council. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the care and welfare needs of children with complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality education, healthcare, therapy, and independence skills to children with complex needs.
  • Converse with children and staff at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans and support the implementation of these plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
