Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the London Bridge Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients with HPB conditions and those requiring liver and kidney transplants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing advice, support, and counseling to patients and families throughout their care pathway.
  • Ensure a coordinated service providing consistently high-quality care for patients.
  • Be actively involved in education, audit, quality improvement, and accreditation as an expert resource and facilitator.
  • Plan and implement expert nursing care, providing support pre, peri, and post-transplant period.
  • Assist and support the development of services provided in line with the strategic objectives of the London Bridge Hospital.
Requirements
  • NMC registered Nurse.
  • Extensive experience working at Senior Level or CNS.
  • HPB experience is essential.
  • Transplant experience is desirable.
  • Mentoring/Teaching experience.
  • Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations.
  • Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to the specialty.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in the clinical area.
  • Evidence of Advanced Communication Skills (level 2 course) or willingness to complete within the first year of employment.
