About VanRath and the HR Assistant Role

VanRath is partnering with a valued manufacturing client to find a skilled HR Assistant to join their HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior HR professional to step into a busy HR function with great development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a contact point for employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Assist with recruitment, testing, interviews, and documentation, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  • Compile and summarise confidential information for reports, maintaining the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Handle assigned HR projects and report any issues, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Manage HR systems, extract and analyse data for reports, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support company health, well-being, and social responsibility initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Take notes during senior management and HR meetings, ensuring accurate records and follow-up actions.
About You
  • Hold a 3rd level qualification and/or CIPD qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in HR principles and practices.
  • Have a minimum of one year's experience in a customer-facing role, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Have experience within an engineering manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Have previous experience in an HR role, with a proven track record of delivering results and improving processes.
  • Be proficient in using PAMS and NorthTime Pro, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
