Role: Support Manager

Location: Newbury

Setting: Supported Living - Learning Disabilities/Challenging Behaviour

Salary: £38,000 plus benefits

A leading care company is seeking an experienced Support Manager to join their team in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in supported living services to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company's mission.

As the Support Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff, developing and implementing operational services, and ensuring high standards of care are maintained. You will have a strong 'can do' attitude and be able to build strong links in the community, lead the team, and support clients to live life their way.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and lead the team to deliver high-quality services
  2. Develop and implement person-centred care plans
  3. Ensure CQC compliance in all aspects of the service
  4. Recruitment, training, and performance management
  5. Financial administration and budgeting
  6. Assessment of care plans and rotas
  7. Provide excellent leadership and management
  8. Provide hands-on support and on-call support when required

Requirements:

  1. Previous management experience in a similar setting
  2. Sound knowledge of CQC standards
  3. Experience working with residents with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour
  4. NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this
  5. Stable working history
  6. Driver with access to a vehicle
