About the Role

Rydon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Essex. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our healthcare buildings, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and develop plans to address them.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and safety data.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that equipment and facilities are properly maintained and repaired.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and engineering, to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management software and systems, including work order management and inventory control.
