We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction site in West Malling, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Project Management: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Area Build Manager to prepare and review the master build programme, ensuring that construction methods and timescales are met.
- Site Management: Manage the equipment, plant, staffing, and sub-contract requirements for the site, and respond to queries from trades and take corrective action as necessary.
- Team Management: Recruit, induct, and manage a team of site-based staff, conducting regular appraisals and addressing development needs in conjunction with Group HR.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of direct reports, and take corrective action to bring progress back in line with programme.
- Qualifications: BTEC diploma in Building Construction or NVQ Level 3 or 4, or similar.
- Experience: 10 years as a Site Manager, with experience in working in large volume housebuilding and a proven track record of motivating staff and managing a site effectively.
- Certifications: CSCS card at Site Manager level, valid SMSTS certificate, and full UK driving license.
- Skills: Ability to chair and run meetings, up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation, and a high degree of accuracy.
