About the RoleThis is a hands-on role that requires a strong focus on patient needs. You will work in a dynamic and varied environment, supporting patients in clinic, at home, and on the wards. The service covers the entire Eastern region, providing specialist advice, treatments, and interventions as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Immunology service in providing high-quality nursing care to patients with immunodeficiency
- Work closely with the team to deliver a comprehensive service, including clinic, home visits, and ward-based care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
We are looking for a registered nurse with a strong background in immunology and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Essential qualifications include a teaching or mentoring qualification, post-registration qualification in the specialty, and evidence of continuous professional development. Desirable qualifications include a degree and research module.
As a Clinical Immunology Specialist Nurse, you will be expected to demonstrate expert nursing skills, mentorship, and preceptorship roles, as well as accept personal accountability for your practice. You will also be required to have good verbal and written communication skills, be adaptable to changing situations, and have a commitment to multidisciplinary working.
