School Attendance Officer

Job Summary:
Aspire People Limited is seeking a skilled School Attendance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Attendance Officer in schools or have experience working within school administration. The role will involve monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality, as well as identifying students who require support with their attendance. The successful candidate will be able to liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House, and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team, and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern. The role also involves raising attendance issues with parents, meeting with students and parents to support them in improving attendance, and referring students who are not meeting attendance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality
- Identify students who require support with their attendance
- Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House, and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team, and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern
- Raise attendance issues with parents
- Meet with students and parents to support them in improving attendance
- Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets
