Senior Ledger Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ledger Accounting Specialist to join our finance team at Cummins Mellor Careers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all related transactions in line with company deadlines.

The estimated salary for this role is around £40,000 - £45,000 per annum based on your exceptional financial skills and experience.

Responsibilities Will Include:
• Setting up and maintaining new approved suppliers,
• Processing multi-currency invoices by reconciling with purchase orders, delivery notes, and received invoices,
• Ensuring adherence to the company's credit and returns policies across purchasing and goods-in departments,
• Monitoring unfulfilled or partially filled orders, coordinating with internal purchasing representatives and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery,
• Performing expense analysis, monitoring daily purchase reports, and providing regular updates to the Finance Director on any identified anomalies,
• Overseeing payment runs via BACS,
• Performing tax code checks prior to VAT submissions,
• Assisting with month-end reporting by producing the aged creditors report.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior ledger accounting role,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel,
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
