About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Liver Health Specialist Nurse to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our hepatology team, you will play a vital role in delivering liver health checks in primary and secondary care settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver liver health checks in primary and secondary care settings, including surgeries, hospital clinics, and community outreach programs.
  • Coordinate care for patients engaged in hepatology surveillance pathways, ensuring seamless transitions between services.
  • Work closely with the lead clinician, peer support workers, and administrative staff to retain patients in surveillance pathways.
  • Liaise with GP practices, health centers, and hospitals across the East Midlands to establish specialist diagnostic services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current Level one NMC registration.
  • First-level degree in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
