About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Nurse to join our Established Hepatology Specialist Nurse team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the medical team caring for patients with Neuroendocrine tumors, providing support, specialist care, and education during hospital admissions and following discharge.

The post holder will participate in the advanced care planning Multi-Disciplinary team meeting, enabling patient-centred advanced care planning for end-of-life care. They will also work collaboratively with the existing Hepatology nurse specialist team, focusing on managing patients alongside the existing nurse specialist.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake nurse-led clinics and injection clinics for patients on treatment.
  • Liaise with other centres regarding NET patients.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital and community teams, attending Multi-disciplinary Team meetings.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new nurse-led services.

Requirements
  • Current level one NMC registration.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge in hepatobiliary nursing.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to urgent situations.
  • Knowledge of local liver and national cancer pathways.
