Job Description

Royal Mail requires a Postal Logistics Specialist to work across Scotland.

Key Tasks
  • You will begin each day by sorting and collecting post/parcels at the local delivery office.
  • You will utilise a hand-held device to record customer signatures and receive navigation instructions.
  • The position demands a significant amount of walking (at least 8 miles daily) and manual handling of post bags.
  • Driving and on-foot delivery, as well as moving a post trolley, are integral aspects of the role.
Essential Requirements
  • A full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points is mandatory.
  • While not compulsory, previous experience in delivery or driving is highly valued.
  • You must exhibit strong organisational skills and effective time management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities are necessary.
  • A dedication to safe and responsible driving practices is crucial.
  • Workability in outdoor environments, regardless of weather conditions, is essential.
  • Availability to work 5 out of 7 days, potentially including weekends, is necessary.

Hourly Rate: £17.52.
