About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Marine Systems Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, leveraging your technical expertise to drive operational excellence and ensure the safe and reliable operation of specialized marine systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Lifeboats, Life rafts, Marine evacuation Systems, and export systems.
  • System Assessment and Repair: Conduct assessments, repairs, or replacements related to inspection or audit findings, ensuring seamless delivery of technical support through engagement with operations teams.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with risk management processes to ensure barrier strength is understood and documented, promoting consistent delivery of guidance.
  • Maintenance Strategy: Lead, support, and set standards for the Maintenance Strategy of specialized marine systems, ensuring consistency across regions and demonstrating best practices.
  • Contractor Management: Support and undertake Contract Accountable Manager & Job Rep duties for assigned contractors in accordance with bp contractor management procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Marine Engineering Degree: Equivalent qualification in a marine-related subject area.
  • Marine Experience: Extensive experience in asset marine operations, including fixed and floating assets, FPSOs, terminals, hydrocarbon export operations, and offshore marine operations.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of marine floating asset and terminal activity and operations.
  • Contractor Management Skills: Proven ability to manage contractors effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence a broad range of collaborators.

What We Offer:

This role offers a competitive salary, estimated at £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a hybrid office/remote working arrangement, allowing you to balance work and personal life effectively.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role.

Relocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
