About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth and Family Practitioner to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our Operation Engage partnership project, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention and support to young people in custody, diverting them from further involvement in offending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with young people aged 11-17 (up to 25 with learning disabilities or care leavers) in Woodgreen Custody, providing high-quality targeted youth work engagement and personal development opportunities.
- Assess young people's needs, manage a caseload, and work in partnership to deliver interventions that challenge and change behavior, support positive lifestyles, and achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Work with families/parents/carers in a multi-agency environment, forming positive, productive, and professional relationships with children and young people.
- Develop and deliver creative and innovative programs to support the personal development and informal learning of children and young people.
- Communicate effectively with varied audiences, including young people, senior managers, and partner agencies, using verbal and written communication skills.
- Contribute to successful team success, working collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people aged 11-19, particularly those who are vulnerable.
- Demonstrable experience of assessing young people and managing a caseload with complex needs and challenging behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with children, young people, and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the issues affecting children and young people, with a commitment to delivering high-quality interventions and outcomes.
