Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth and Family Practitioner to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with young people aged 11-17 who are taken into custody, providing early intervention and support to divert them from further involvement in offending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate, develop, and deliver high-quality targeted youth work engagement to provide personal and social development opportunities for identified young people.
- Work with and support a caseload of young people to achieve positive outcomes, monitoring outputs, writing reports, and reporting to the Project Lead and Lead Custody Officer.
- Assess young people and manage a case load of young people with complex needs and often challenging behaviour.
- Work in partnership to deliver high-quality interventions that challenge and change behaviour, support young people into a positive lifestyle, prevent negative outcomes, and achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Form positive, productive, and professional relationships with children and young people, and an understanding of the issues that affect children and young people.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people aged 11-19, particularly young people who are vulnerable.
- Demonstrable experience of assessing young people and managing a case load of young people with complex needs and often challenging behaviour.
- Experience of working with families/parents/carers in a multi-agency environment.
- Demonstrable skills in forming positive, productive, and professional relationships with children and young people, and an understanding of the issues that affect children and young people.
