Youth and Family Practitioner

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth and Family Practitioner to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our Operation Engage team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in custody and providing early intervention and support to divert them from further involvement in offending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with young people aged 11-19 who are taken into custody, providing high-quality targeted youth work engagement and personal and social development opportunities.
- Assess young people's needs and manage a caseload of young people with complex needs and challenging behavior.
- Work in partnership with families, parents, and carers to deliver high-quality interventions that challenge and change behavior, support young people into a positive lifestyle, and prevent negative outcomes.
- Develop and deliver creative and innovative programs to support young people's learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with varied audiences, including young people, senior managers, and partner agencies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people aged 11-19, particularly those who are vulnerable.
- Demonstrable experience of assessing young people's needs and managing a caseload of young people with complex needs and challenging behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive, productive, and professional relationships with children and young people.
- A strong understanding of the issues that affect children and young people, including how to protect them from significant harm.
