Deputy Director of Education – SEMH

£90,000 - £100,000 per annum + Car Allowance and benefits
Compass Associates is thrilled to announce our partnership with a national operator in their search for a Deputy Director of Education. This exciting role offers the opportunity to join a progressive and expanding business that aims to enhance its portfolio of specialist schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the performance of their portfolio of schools and support the division to achieve excellence. The Deputy Director will deputise for the Education Director/Regional Director in their absence
- Provide leadership, direction and management support to a designated group of Regional Executive Head Teachers and Head Teachers within the Education Division with a focus on the quality of service, quality of education, regulatory performance, operational function and financial performance.
- Ensure all schools in their portfolio compliant with all regulatory requirements, current guidance and legislation. In-depth understanding with OFSTED is essential
- Regularly visit each school to support head teachers and identify areas requiring improvement
- Actively promote and ensure that student's individual needs are met within each school and that progress is documented and evidenced for each student.
Person Specification:
- Teaching Qualification or recognised managerial qualification
- Detailed understanding of OFSTED and independent
A minimum of 5 years managerial experience as service/department manager for students with SEND and vulnerable young people is required. If you have a background within specialist education, we would like to hear from you.
