Senior Social Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced social work professional to join our team as a Senior Social Care Specialist in Family Safeguarding at Peterborough City Council.
About the RoleThis challenging and rewarding role will involve working closely with tight teams, managing manageable caseloads, and delivering life-changing results for children and young people. Key Responsibilities- To provide expert advice and guidance on family safeguarding cases, ensuring effective and timely interventions.
- To lead and manage a team of social workers, providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision to ensure high-quality practice.
- To contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to family safeguarding, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with national guidelines.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced social worker who can demonstrate:
- A deep understanding of child protection laws, policies, and procedures.
- An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and other stakeholders.
In addition to a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,624 (dependent on experience), you will also receive a comprehensive relocation package, including support with housing, travel, and other living expenses.
