Specialist Radiological Physicist Required
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Diagnostic Radiological Physicist to join our diagnostic radiology team. With a salary of approximately £68,000 - £88,000 per annum, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of new treatments and services.

About the Role

This permanent position is responsible for providing highly complex and specialized radiological physics support and scientific expertise to our trust and Service Level Agreement customers. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement integrated computer information systems for handling, analysing, and interpreting quality assurance data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the Medical Physics Expert for specified areas of work for the Trust and the Service Level Agreement customers.
  • Maintaining records of all quality assurance tests and procedures within databases, for the trust and SLA customers.
  • Participating in Research & Development projects in Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and at SLA customers.

About You

We are looking for a qualified physicist with a strong background in diagnostic imaging and a good understanding of relevant legislation and national standards. You should have experience in commissioning and routine testing of a wide range of X-ray radiological equipment and be able to deal with complex and unpredictable situations.

You will also have:

  • A honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • An MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent.
  • NHS STP training in medical physics or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
