About the Role

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a skilled Residential Property Lawyer to join our client's team in Exeter. As a respected legal services company, they specialize in providing high-quality equity release and residential conveyancing services nationwide.

The team is comprised of experienced equity release specialists who pride themselves on offering efficient, professional, and impartial legal advice to clients on lifetime mortgages and reversion plans. In response to growing client demand for residential conveyancing services, the company has invested in their own team, focusing on high-value residential property transactions. This new role is part of their growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Conveyancing & Residential Property matters, including taking instructions, dealing with client queries, and working collaboratively with the wider equity release team.
  • Maintain excellent file administration standards with a strong understanding of relevant compliance requirements in this highly regulated area of law.
  • Work proactively with another Conveyancing fee earner, offering guidance to less experienced staff members and contributing to the team's success.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Residential Conveyancer or Residential Property Lawyer with at least 2-3 years' experience of fee earning and independently managing their own caseload within a residential property team. A good understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy team environment are essential.

Candidates should have prior experience in a local or regional law firm or legal services company and be comfortable working directly with clients and third parties to progress matters efficiently.
