About the Role

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Residential Conveyancer or Residential Property Lawyer to join our client's busy and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and third parties regarding high-value freehold/leasehold, purchases, sales, and remortgage matters.
  • Take instructions, deal with client queries over the phone and in person.
  • Prepare, advise, and draft necessary documents.
  • Work proactively with another Conveyancing fee earner, collaborating with the wider equity release team as needed, offering guidance to less experienced staff members.
  • Maintain excellent file administration standards with a strong understanding of the relevant compliance required in this highly regulated area of law.

About You:

  • As an experienced and fully qualified Residential Conveyancer or Residential Property Lawyer, you will ideally have at least 2-3 years' experience of fee earning and independently managing your own caseload within a residential property team.
  • You will be comfortable working collaboratively within a busy team environment, liaising directly with clients and third parties in the interests of progressing each matter.
  • You will be confident speaking with clients about the more complex elements of their case, taking pride in your work and being self-motivated to deliver great results to each client you work with.
  • You will possess excellent communication and client care skills, being professional, perceptive, and calm under pressure when working to deadlines and prioritizing your time.
  • Prior experience in using a case management system would be advantageous, and you will be keen to bring your insights and ideas to the firm, positively contributing towards the collegiate and collaborative environment this firm offers.
