Business Development Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to work with our North American region. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with a strong background in B2B interactions, looking to expand their career with a reputable engineering membership body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
- Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Manage client accounts, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Utilize technical sales knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits of membership.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Conduct outside sales visits to potential clients and represent the organization at industry events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong ability to analyse market data and identify key trends.
- Experience in technical sales or technology sales is a plus.
- Ability to manage client accounts effectively and build long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Working experience and knowledge of North America, USA, Canada would be advantageous.
What We Offer:
- Basic Salary range of £26,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience with realistic on target earnings of £35,000-£40,000.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension scheme plus additional package.
- All staff are based 3 days in office, Knutsford and work 2 days home (with occasional overseas travel to attend engineering conferences and events throughout the year).
