About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Manager to join our team at Priesty Fields Care Home. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Clinical Deputy and deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Clinical Deputy and deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence
  • Offering supervision, support and training to Senior Carer and Care Assistant colleagues
  • Ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors
  • Supporting with recruitment and retention, including interviewing
  • Working to operational and financial KPIs, to include supporting the Home Manager with regular reporting on areas including occupancy, staff vacancies and agency spend

Requirements:

  • Dedicated, proactive and trustworthy individual with proven supervisory experience in a residential or nursing care setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
  • Good grasp of management reporting using basic Excel spreadsheets
  • Minimum of a level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to undertake further qualifications if required
