Job Title: Staffordshire School and Care Home Chefs

Job Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent contracts

Location: Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Congleton, Leek, Kidsgrove, Tunstall, Nantwich, Crewe, Stoke on Trent, Buxton, and surrounding areas

Hourly Rate: £16-£20 per hour, paid weekly

We are seeking experienced Enhanced DBS Cooks and Chefs to support schools, nurseries, care homes, and retirement villages in North Staffordshire. As a member of our team, you will work in various contract catering environments, providing hot, delicious, and nutritious food to vulnerable adults and children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for schools and care homes
  • Manage stock and ordering
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months
  • City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2, or equivalent qualification in professional cookery
  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate within the last 3 years
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a chef or cook
  • Experience working in schools and care homes
