Financial Crime Prevention Leader

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Prevention Leader to join our team at Zopa Bank Limited. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial crime prevention efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial crime leadership, with a proven track record of managing teams and leading financial crime prevention initiatives. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing financial crime prevention strategies, aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Leading cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and sanctions compliance.
- Providing expert guidance on financial crime regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance across the organization.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to financial crime activities, trends, and risks.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial crime leadership or compliance role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of managing teams and leading financial crime prevention initiatives.
- Deep understanding of financial crime regulations, including AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent would be highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits, including flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
