Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Building Inspector Team Leader to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and growing a team of building inspectors, providing expert advice and guidance to clients, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality building control services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of building inspectors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on building control matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to grow the team and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, ensuring the team remains knowledgeable and competent in building control matters.

Requirements

  • Membership of RICS, CABE, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of building control regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-starting attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a large project team.
  • Ability to solve complex issues through analysis, development of suitable solutions, and implementation of these solutions.
