At the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Flood Risk Management Specialist to join our Hydrology & Flooding Function. This fixed-term role, lasting up to 23 months, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of protecting and enhancing Scotland's environment.

We're looking for a talented individual who can provide analysis, evaluation, and supporting information to develop key policy areas of flood risk management. As a key member of the Flooding Partnerships & Engagement Unit, you'll work closely with the Principal Policy Officer and National Partnerships & Engagement team to drive policy development and implementation.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in Scotland's fight against flooding. You'll be responsible for:

Flood Risk Management Policy Development
  • Developing and implementing policies to manage flood risk, ensuring alignment with Scottish Government strategy and targets
  • Contributing to research projects that advance policy development in flood risk management

In addition to your technical expertise, you'll also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
