About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Northampton Business Directory.

This exciting opportunity involves working as part of a dynamic team to deliver construction projects nationwide.

About You:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have an excellent understanding and ability to use Excel, which is essential for this role.
  • You possess proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for supporting the development of cost plans to support project development.
  • You will work closely with the project team to identify potential value-adding initiatives.
  • You will collaborate with the project team to tender for new projects, identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process.
  • You will track and report on project costs and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from budget.
  • You will recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options to optimise project efficiency and quality.
  • You will maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on costs and timelines.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
